Winter break

We had a wonderful winter here on the farm. We had some bumps and bruises along the way, but overall absolutely wonderful. There was quite a bit of snow, a tiny addition to the farm, a loss, and quite a bit of animal fun, as always.

Here are a few pictures of our farm in the snow...

In the animal world, we collected some new chickens and sold a few roosters. Last fall I got a couple frizzles, goofiest little things, and found out 2 were roos, bringing our rooster total to 5! Needless to say we're now down to two. Everyone has found happy new farms to live on/terrorize. Here was one of our own boys, Raptor.

The human aspect of the farm gained two newbies. In January, Donnie and I got married! So he's the much larger addition to the farm life. Back in November, we welcomed our teeny tiny addition, Charlotte Jones, to the farm.
She has been the best part about winter on the farm. All the cold days were not so bad when you have a little peanut to snuggle. And her grandmom is ecstatic to have her around!

In November we also had a big loss. Uncle john, who had been living with us for almost a year, passed away. It was a tough time, but we all know he is in a better place, with his wife Ann.
Mom and I were so lucky to be able to spend a little bit more time with him in his last year.

Pictures of Unk, out enjoying the warm weather of last fall. He really enjoyed watching all the animals.

More updates to come, including little lambs!
Stay tuned.
