Country Diary Excerpt

Valentine's Day was definitely a full day, but probably not the same way others spent their day.

Doug had an appointment at the U of P early on. While on the way there, I realized we'd probably miss the train over into the city and then definitely miss Doug's appointment. So, instead of stopping at the train station, I kept driving... I kept driving right on over the bridge and to the U of P. This is a drive Doug would normally be doing and this was also the very first bridge I have ever driven myself across in my life!

While waiting during Doug's MRI, I came up with a plan for a new green house design that I'm excited about. I also came across seed I can buy especially for the sheep and chickens that we can use. I'm considering buying it because I like the sheep and the chickens. Special grass from seed for them would be nice.

After the great bridge accomplishment, I figured I'd tackle the roof on our one horse barn. That didn't go as planned, either, I ended up in the local ER for 3 hours for a total of 3 stitches after cutting my finger.
